The Melt Crowd Review

first discovered Flamingo candles on Amazon while trying to fill my basket in order to purchase an item I desperately needed but was only available as an add on item. This was a good year or so ago before I  started filling my bedroom with flamingos and pineapples and I think this was perhaps what started it all off. I’ve now gone through a couple of different Flamingo candles and have been eager to try more.

The best thing is that Flamingo products are hand-made in  the UK with 100% natural soy wax, they are both vegan and cruelty free as well as affordable and high quality.

I love buying the Yankee Candle votive samplers but they’re a tad expensive so when I saw that Flamingo offered a monthly subscription box for only ยฃ10 I really couldn’t say no!

I didn’t realise until I received the box that it was actually a subscription to their wax melts which, to be fair I should have noticed from the name Melt Crowd but I just got super excited at the idea of receiving a subscription box from Flamingo!

Having tested these out a couple of times already I’m really surprised by how much scent they give my home and I’m really pleased that I did order melts rather than candles. This is the first time I’ve tried any sort of melt and since I was so impressed, I’ll probably give the Yankee ones a go too.

Sadly there isn’t a candle subscription available but I’ll certainly be sticking with this for the foreseeable future.

The Melt Box comes out once a month and includes 8 different scented melts. The first months box also includes a free burner as well. I ended up with a red one that doesn’t match my lounge particularly well but I can always pick one up at The Range or Wilkos. I’ve got my beady eye on this one from Yankee Candle.

The scents that came in October’s box were as follows:

Special Edition Pink Ribbon (for Cancer Research UK)

Pomegranite & White Fig

Garden Woodland

Nutmeg & Ginger

Applecurrant Crumble

Cranberry, Orange & Cinnamon

So far I’ve only tested out the Pink Ribbon scent which is soft, floral and somewhat fruity. It certainly fills the room for hours after it’s finished burning. Having looked through the rest of their scent melts, I’m excited for future boxes and I can’t wait to try out the Raspberry & Salted Caramel, Parma Violet, Rose & Marshmallow, Doughnut, Violet & Lime, and Candy Flossscents. I always go for sweet, delicious, foody scents and the Flamingo range more than satisfies that!

Have you tried their melts or candles? Which are your favourites?
