Monthly Update

What I’ve Been Up to

This month I’ve let my hair down a bit and had a fair few nights involving a few too many drinks but they’ve all been nothing short of wonderful. We finally put up the curtains my mum bought me for Christmas last year and my flat is looking beautiful and feeling homely.

Tough times are becoming easier and with CBT and mindfullness and a handful of Sertraline my head is getting better. I’ve started seeing someone who’s at present far too perfect so I’m just waiting for a huge flaw to shine through and hoping that day never comes.

I took a weeks paid holiday from work in the middle of the month and hung out with a friend who was between jobs before heading down to my parents for a few days. They moved out from my childhood home on November 25th so it was the last time I would visit and I did feel a little sad. I hung out with some old friends while I was there too but ended up coming back to Leicester to help a friend and go on a date which unexpectedly popped up for the Saturday night.

Said date has been spending a lot of time with me and my friends over the past couple of weeks and by taking things slowly is giving me the distance to sort myself out while still enjoying company.

My friend [Sam] Willmer came to stay for a few days while he worked on his MA application essay at then university library. I only have a one bedroom flat so we made him a little den in the lounge from the sofas and had a lovely few lazy days with too many take aways and hours in front of the telly.

In the final week of November I started the rather exciting adventure of writing a short, non-fiction e-book which I’ll be self publishing in February 2016. It’s on philosophy, atheism and religion. I wrote 7000 in the first four days and I’m bursting with excitement to write the final 3k and get it re-drafted ten thousand times!
