Netflix & Chill #7

It’s time for another Netflix & Chill because this month I’ve been rather tight on money and spending probably more time in front of the TV than anywhere else. Which is cool, cos I’ve had a fair few things to watch! This edition is a mix of shows available on Netflix and others that I’ve downloaded or streamed elsewhere.

SCREAM – NETFLIX

Season two of Scream has finally arrived on Netflix! I talked about the series back in Netflix & Chill #3 where I binge watched the first season (it was so damn good.) Sadly I won’t be binge watching this one, rather watching it week by week and keeping the craving going. As expected episode one ended on a big cliffhanger so roll on next Tuesday.

RU PAULS DRAG RACE – NETFLIX
This one keeps coming up in my recommended shows but I didn’t pay in any attention until my good friend Brian told me about how hilarious it is. I binged the whole of Season 6 in a week. I found that my understanding of Drag has become even more confused but I totally fell in love with Adore Delano and found myself shouting at the TV during the finale.

RAISED BY WOLVES – ALL 4
I watched this after I read Moranifesto (review here) where Moran talked about this TV show she’d written with her sister Catherine for Channel 4. I was surprised to find there were already two seasons to watch and binged my way through them in a matter of days. The sit-com follows a family of 7 in Wolverhampton and is loosely based on the Moran’s upbringing.

GAME OF THRONES DOWNLOADED/SKY GO

Hello I’m Rebecca and I’m 5 years late to the party! I’m slowly making my way through season three but it’s so intense and I keep taking breaks. I’ll be caught up soon enough.

CHELSEA – NETFLIX

Chelsea Handler now has her own Netflix exclusive talk show with special guest, funny clips, interviews and… rapping? It’s on every Friday and I’ve been watching it as each episode is released. For some reason it’s rated really low on Netflix but I find Chelsea hilarious and relatable so I love just watching her talk.

ADVENTURE TIME – KISSCARTOON
Oh look I’m late again! I’ve tried watching Adventure Time in the past but didn’t really find it too interesting. Lately however I’ve been sticking it on in the background when I’m Blogging or scrolling through twitter.

RICK AND MORTY – KISSCARTOON
Another cartoon but this one is more intense and not written for kids. Rick and Morty deals with some hard hitting issues in a sci-fi universe where (grandfather) Rick and (grandson) Morty travel between dimensions. Think Back to the Future meets Adventure Time.

A GIRL LIKE HER – NETFLIX
I’ve saved this one until last because I wanted to minimise the number of people who will bother to read that I cried my freaking eyes out at this movie. I watched it alone and spent the last 10 minutes sobbing into a blanket. I rarely cry at films but this just got me. It’s about a girl who’s bullied in high school and commits suicide. The bullier is secretly filmed and it all comes out to the world.

Have you watched any of these? Did you also bawl your eyes out at A Girl Like Her? Have you got any recommendations for me?

    1. First person I’ve found who’s heard of Rick and Morty aside from my other half, you just gained maximum Street cred for that one! Peaky Blinders looks great, definitely on my to watch list but apparently pretty intense too? The Ranch however I’ve not heard of, I’ll have to look it up. Xx
