It came to my attention recently that quite a few of my readers arent involved in the blogging community. Some because they’re not bloggers and some because they weren’t really aware of its presence.  Either way, if you confused about wth a twitter chat is; you’re in the right place to find out.

A Twitter chat is an organised recurring event where users come together to talk about a set topic. I take part in a The Girl Gang (@TheGirlGangHQ/#thegirlgang) and Blogger Babes (@Bloggerbabes_/#bbabeschat) who both hold weekly chats.

They usually have hosts who decide the questions that are going to be posed and they’re tweeted with the hashtag and the question number. All the people involved in the chat answer the questions and get talking to one another about the topic. Last week I was a co-host for #bbabeschat and we discussed blogger progression. There were great tips flying around and I gained lots of new followers and people to follow.

The reason you should join a twitter chat is because it will integrate you with the blogging community. It will get people looking at your blog. It will help you learn tips and tricks on how to keep motivated, edit your photos, get more views etc.

It can also help hook you up with people to guest post with. Guest posts are great for exposure and I really want to organise more of them for mine. I would love to hear if you are interested in writing for libfemblog and/or if you’d like me to write a post for your blog!

Are you involved in any twitter chats? Do you have any you’d like to recommend?

Will you be joining us at Blogger Babes (Thurs 8-9pm) or The Girl Gang (Mon 6-7pm)? 💕

  1. Love this post! I have been wanting to join some Twitter chats for bloggers but I wasn’t quite sure how or what it entailed. Thanks for a great post!! Loving your blog,

    1. Thank you for reading. You should definitely join blogger babes this coming week, everyone is friendly and it’s a pretty small chat so not too overwhelming xx
