Don’t get me wrong, I am proud of my blog. It’s pretty and it’s loaded with really varied and engaging content however at times I have to admit that I’m a bit of a crappy blogger.
Sometimes I forget to tweet my posts, upload images on time, correct mistakes and even forget to post altogether every now and again. 2016 is well under way and I think it’s nice to take time out to reflect on how we’re doing this year.
I’m doing pretty good considering how 2016 started and my blog is better than it’s ever been but here are the improvements I’d like to make and the goals I’d like to reach. I hope it inspires you to write your own too!
UPDATE & RESHARE AT LEAST 10 OLD BLOG POSTS
Some people are totally against updating and resharing old posts however I think it’s a great thing to do. Rather than letting old favourites get lost in the noise of you blog, revamp your grainy old pics and share again for new followers.
ENSURE EACH AND EVERY POST IS FULLY GRAMMAR AND SPELL CHECKED FOR MISTAKES
If you’re a long term reader of libfemblog, you may have noticed that in the past several of my posts have gone live with no photo, half finished sentences or missing info. Bad times. Bad blogger. *Slaps own wrist*
WRITE TWO SUPER ENGAGING POSTS A WEEK INSTEAD OF 3-4 SHORTER ONES
My best content wears me out and I need to remember that it’s okay to expel my best work then take a break. Quality over quantity.
JOIN IN WITH MORE TWITTER CHATS
I love a good Twitter chat but I find them kinda exhausting after a long day of work. I find it so difficult to balance time for my friends, family, partner, work & the blog and sometimes squeezing in extra activities like Twitter Chats just really takes it out of me. Must join in more as they’re great fun!
HIT THESE FOLLOW COUNTS:
– 1000 Twitter
– 7500 Instagram
– 150 Bloglovin’
– 400 WordPress
TAKE A BRAND NEW ORIGINAL PHOTO FOR EVERY POST
Often, I reuse photos for blog posts are sometimes they’re either super-generic, irrelevant or stolen from old posts with a similar theme. I need to stop being photo-lazy and take more photos at a time to avoid running out of time to take one.
Are these goals you also want to achieve with your blog? Any tips to help me with these would be much appreciated.
